Rebecca Travis is an British Writer/Editor and Curator, currently based in Toronto, Canada.

As a writer her reviews, interviews, and essays have been published nationally and internationally across online and print platforms including: Canadian Art, C Magazine, Dazed Digital, Apollo Magazine, Photomonitor, Momus and Aesthetica Magazine amongst others. Until recently she was Editorial Manager of the online contemporary art magazine this is tomorrow

Curated projects include group exhibitions Sexish and New Monuments Forget the Future at Birch Contemporary, Toronto; [i’ll be your mirror] – a curated events programme at various venues in the North East, UK; and Built Around You – a residency, exhibition and thematic events programme hosted in an empty terraced house in Newcastle, UK.
Currently Rebecca is working on her third curated project for Birch Contemporary, ‘TenderPixels.CorruptedFiles’ featuring works by artists based in the UK and Canada, to take place in July-August 2016.

Her studio practice has, for now, made way for a purely writing-based practice. Between 2010 and 2014 her art work was exhibited throughout the North East of England, Nottingham, Sheffield, London, Istanbul, and at the VII Biennial di Soncino, a Marco in Italy.
